…are these hand-made hammam towels from mooisenmeer.nl! And today was one of those days, I got my ‘Zee’ hammam towel in the mail and I love it! ‘Zee’ means sea in Dutch.

It’s my second hammam towel from mooisenmeer, a lovely webshop (click here). So far I used my hammam towel as a scarf on chilly summer evenings, as a  plaid in the park and as a bath towel ! In winter I also use them as plaids/decoration.

Piet Hein Eek shop/factory/restaurant/events

One of my favorite places in Eindhoven: the Piet Hein Eek shop.

I grew up in Eindhoven,  so you can imagine I go there quite often. West from the city centre is an area that is split in parts, called strijp S and R. On these grounds you find beautiful old Philips factories and offices, which luckily they are developing into a very urban and creative neighborhood with appartments, shops, café’s and businesses. On strijp R, furniture designer Piet Hein Eek obtained a very beautiful building and turned it into a mix of different things: gallery spaces for starting designers, a restaurant, Piet Hein Eek shop and factory. And this, I can tell, is a very succesful and interesting mix! It can be good for a Sunday afternoon concert and lunch, a saturday of visiting the shop and dinner, just a coffee or tea with a friend, a visit to the galleries and factory, whatever you want.
